Take 10 minutes and install the R30IB Filter Holder Set with ease. Please follow the instructions below

1. Insert filter pad making sure the filter material is past the filter holders internal retention groove so that the material does not get caught

2. Place the assembled filter over the factory fan grill starting at an angle so the retention groove is already half seated.

3. Roll the filter holder toward the corner not seated evenly. Push in firmly. The holder should click into place as the factory fan grill snaps into the retention ring in the filter holder.

4. If you do not hear/feel it seat into place use a flat tip screw driver to carefully work the factory fan grill ring up into the retention groove. The protruding ear of the fan grill may be a good place to apply light pressure.

5. Give the filter holder a light pull back to ensure it is seated.

1. Remove the rear cover by loosening, but not fully removing the 4 bolts located in the keyhole slots. There are two on each side.

2. Lift the rear cover to align the key hole slots then let the top fall back towards you. Now lower it. Be careful. There is a plate that the fans mount to that utilizes the same keyhole slots.

3. Follow the same procedure used for the front cover to install your new filter holders.

4. Reinstall the factory rear cover in the opposite fashion as removal. You will need to lift the fan plate with the factory cover to get it all back in the keyhole slots and have it all go back the same as it came apart. There is a lip on the bottom of the fan plate. That lip goes inside the bottom edge of the factory cover. Some consumers prefer leaving this factory cover removed for future service of filter holders

Depending on the condition of your machine you may find it necessary to remove the factory fan grills and bend them back to a stock position and shape to get the filter holders to secure properly. This is rare. Do so following the equipment manufacturers instructions. There are many training courses and videos available. Many of the front fan grills have nuts on the back sides of them which hold the fan and grill all with the same fasteners. It may require removing the small panel this fan is mounted to in order to reassemble after fixing the factory fan grill. There is a small electrical plug behind the fan that can be removed if necessary. For the rears the whole fan plate can be removed by unplugging one plug in the top right of the machine then sliding it off the keyhole slots.

Wash thoroughly in warm soapy water if necessary. Typically, a simple wipe down with a rag will suffice. Do not clean or soak the filter holder in chemicals that may have an adverse effect on plastic.
